I had to have this section put in... here, on the page. I'm a completely
hopeless gear additct, and I will eat, breathe, and dream stompboxes
if you don't find a way to shake my attention. I will gorge myself.
I love information, reviews, soundfiles... I want to know who likes
it and why, I want to see the knobs, I want to hear the noises...
So, I've done my best to make sure this site
satisfies all the people like me... information junkies.
The pictures are stolen. We're sorry about that,
but no one here has a scanner or a digital camera (and we probably will
stay that way. Pictures! Pshaw), and... come on, people... wake up and
smell the Information Age. This what's mine is mine shit is getting
a little old, especially when it comes to intangible little bits of
information.
The audiofiles... that's another story. While
none of us have a camera, we have lots and lots of recording gear, and
we're not shy about using it. The sound files are all done by us, because
I'm tired of hearing samples of some musicstore cheeseball demoing the
new "coolest overdrive in the world" by churning out yet another
half-assed rendition of a seventies rock tune.
Jesus, that brings me down.
And worse, it doesn't apply to me. I don't play
that way. It's no problem if people play in that style, don't misunderstand
me, but the web is flooded with those guys. Almost no one is interested
in how these machines act in an environment not built around
Page and Hendrix...
So this is gear, for freaks.
